New York State Broadband Map Challenge

Ulster County residents, businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities have the opportunity to once again challenge Broadband maps. Please check your address and make sure the state is correct for your property or location. The deadline for challenges is April 11th. Press Release Re: 2023 Ulster County Public Pay Dashboard

Kingston, NY (March 18, 2024) -- Today the Ulster County Comptroller’s Office released the 2023 payroll data on The Ulster County Public Pay Dashboard. The Public Pay Dashboard data includes Ulster County employee’s 2023 base pay, overtime pay, and other miscellaneous pay types. The data can be viewed by employee, by title, or by department. “The Comptroller’s Office is proud to be able to once again bring an enhanced level of transparency to Ulster County government,” said Ulster County Comptroller March Gallagher.

Audit of CARES I Grant Program

Kingston, NY (March 11, 2024) -- The Ulster County Comptroller’s Office released the Audit of the Ulster County CARES I Grant Program today. The CARES I Program was funded with federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act funds and grant awards were announced on December 24, 2021. The audit of the Ulster County Small Business CARES I grant program uncovered several significant issues. Deviations from eligibility requirements and misalignment of expenditures with legislative intent were identified.

Opioid Snapshot

Nearly every family in Ulster County knows someone who has been affected by the opioid crisis. The Ulster County Comptroller’s Office presents this snapshot to share data with policymakers and the community on the public health impacts of the opioid crisis considering the additional funding coming to Ulster County from opioid settlement agreements. While the opioid settlement funds are not the only sources of financial support to address the opioid crisis, these are a new and recurring source of funding that should be put to best use to save and improve as many lives as possible.
