KINGSTON, N.Y. - The Ulster County Executive’s Office announced today the appointment of Brian MacGregor as the new Insurance Officer. MacGregor has worked in the insurance industry for 26 years and has been a resident of Ulster County for over 40 years. He is a graduate of the Ohio State University with a BA in social sciences. 

“Brian MacGregor is a seasoned insurance industry professional, and has held the designation of certified insurance counselor (CIC) for the past 16 years." Acting Ulster County Executive Johanna Contreras said. “He will be an asset to County government, and we are excited to welcome him to the team.”

“I am excited to serve as insurance officer for Ulster County,” Brian MacGregor said. “My focus will be on risk management and loss control as well as marketing the insurance coverage - all in the effort to control the cost of risk for the county. As the administrator of the County Self Insurance plan, our office will continue to focus on efforts to enhance workplace safety for county employees and all of the participants in the County self insurance plan.”
