    Ryan Will Conduct Press Conference, Sunday at 2:00 p.m at the Ulster County Office Building “This morning, we were notified by the New York State Health Department that an Ulster County resident has received a ‘presumptive positive’ result for novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This individual recently traveled internationally to France and notified our Health Department that he had symptoms consistent with COVID-19. Upon guidance from our Health Department he drove himself to a hospital where test samples were taken and he was immediately placed into quarantine.

    Partial Action to Begin Asbestos Remediation Will Begin Following Ginsberg’s Failure to Perform the Work Site Owner Alan Ginsberg Remains Under Notice of Potential Liability for Asbestos and Demolition Cleanup and Any EPA Costs KINGSTON, N.Y. – Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan announced today that the EPA, starting as soon as next month, will begin an emergency partial cleanup of the Tech City industrial site including extensive demolition and asbestos abatement work as part of a federal action.

    Ulster County seniors and families can now apply for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) through April 24, 2020 KINGSTON, N.Y. –  Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan announced that the 2019-2020 Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) has been extended through April 24, 2020. HEAP makes funding available to help seniors ages sixty and over and low-income and working families pay their heating bills.

    "We are closely monitoring the water situation in the Village of New Paltz. Protecting the health and safety of our residents is my number one priority. From the moment that we learned about the potential water issue our Department of Health and our Emergency Management team were on the scene and assisting local and state officials. We have been working to help secure and deliver alternative water sources for impacted community members. Free water bottles are available at Village Hall.

    KINGSTON, N.Y. – Today, Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT) held a public meeting to provide additional information and provide for an opportunity for public comment regarding the proposed $0.50 base fares for the Red, Yellow and Blue Routes scheduled to begin on April 1, 2020. UCAT personnel in collaboration with the Ulster County Planning Department and the Ulster County Executive’s Office also presented revised routes that will maximize the number of residents and destinations served within the City of Kingston.
